I am on the Board of Directors of Physicians Against World Hunger (PAWH)

PAWH is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization which raises funds to support throughout the world. Because there is no paid staff and all the work of PAWH is done on a voluntary basis, virtually all the money raised by the organization is donated to the hunger projects. This year we donated funds to the WESTCHESTER COALITION FOR THE HUNGRY AND HOMELESS (see attached letter). Since the organization was founded, PAWH has supported hunger projects in El Salvador, Bolivia, Ghana, Eritrea, Haiti, Bangladesh, Kenya and Appalachia.

 I am also involved with "Friends of Karen"--Friends of Karen is dedicated to providing emotional, financial and advocacy support to children with life-threatening illnesses and their families. They have served children throughout the New York Metropolitan are for more than 25 Years. Friends of Karen serves children from birth to twenty-one who are diagnosed with any life-threatening illness and living in the New York Metropolitan area, including all of New York City (Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Staten Island and Queens), Long Island (Nassau and Suffolk), Westchester, Rockland, Putnam, Dutchess, Sullivan, Orange and Ulster Counties, northern New Jersey (Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Passaic, Union) and Fairfield County, Connecticut. Friend of Karen offers its services regardless of race, color, creed, sex or handicap in compliance with all applicable federal, State and local laws and
